Do you care for someone with dementia?

 

Attend the carer workshops in Stockton starting Tuesday 23rd February and 1st March 2016.

The Carer Information Support Programme is a series of five consecutive workshops for people caring for a family member or friend who has recently been diagnosed with dementia.

It provides an opportunity for you to talk in a friendly and confidential environment about your experiences and the impact they are having on you. The workshops aim to provide you with information and support.

Topics will include:

• what is dementia?

• how you can support and care for someone with dementia

• the support services that are available

• planning for the future.

Who will be there?

The workshops are run by Alzheimer’s Society staff and volunteers for a group of up to 12 people who care for a family member or friend with dementia.

The CRISP course is FREE to attend and will take place weekly on Tuesday afternoon between 1pm and 3.30pm at LiveWell Dementia Hub, Halcyon Centre, Stockton (Thorntree Road, Thornaby, Stockton on Tees TS17 8AP) commencing on Tuesday 23nd February 2016 and then subsequently at the same time and place on Tuesday 1st March, 8th March, 15th March and 22nd March 2016.
