About Justice First

The core purpose of Justice First is to work with people seeking asylum whose appeals have been rejected by the Home Office; seeking to help them re-engage with the legal system and avoid destitution by researching and helping to submit further evidence or a fresh claim, either directly or via immigration solicitors. We offer practical and emotional support; utilise volunteer befrienders and deliver refugee awareness training, presentations and talks. We are a unique service in the North East and work closely with, and refer people to other supportive organisations as appropriate.

Client appointments are avilable on Thursdays - can be booked by telephone between 10am and 1.30pm.

Migrant help appointments available on Thursdays.

Red Cross support available on Wednesday mornings.

Appointments can be made with a solicitor for free advice.

The Mary Thompson Fund can provide support for Asylum Seekers who are destitute between 3 and 4.30pm on Fridays.
