Muslim Women's Network UK (MWNUK) were funded by Rosa last year to carry out research into the experiences and attitudes of FGM in Birmingham. The report which has been launched, and MWNUK is promoting the findings of the report and how it is continuing to raise awareness about FGM.

At this event, presentations will include the consequences of such cultural attitudes including legal consequences. For example, you will hear victim stories, and key information about these issues.

Aims

To bring together frontline professionals including those from FGM practising communities, and faith leaders

1)         Raise awareness of FGM

2)         Talk about report and its findings

3)         Provide FGM Information to attendee’s

4)         Present 2 short video’s

Each participant will be provided with a free information booklet.
