About Thirteen
Formed in 2014 the Thirteen Group manages over 32,000 properties. Based in the North East but spanning an area from North Tyneside to York, Thirteen is not just about providing homes but creating opportunities for people to make a positive change, raise ambitions as well as aspirations of communities as a whole.
Thirteen’s Money Advice and Employment Team offers free, confidential help and support on a wide range of money and employability matters for Thirteen Group customers.
Money Advisers can help customers:
• Increase income - complete income checks and make claims for extra benefits
• Manage money - budgeting, help with debts and find the cheapest deals
• Compare fuel costs and switch suppliers
• Compare loan costs and provide information on affordable credit
• Choose a Bank, Building Society or Credit Union account
• Job search
• Develop CV’s and application forms
• Access training, work experience, apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeship training
• Improve/ develop interview skills
• Get specialist help and advice
Employability Advisers can support customers who are actively looking for a job or who are interested in training, educational courses or voluntary work experience.
Employability Advisers can help customers:
• Job search
• Create CV’s and covering letters and provide support to complete job application forms
• Develop interview skills including what to wear, top tips and example questions
• Provide access to training
• Access work experience through work placements or voluntary jobs within Thirteen, contract partners and local employers

There are no charges for services.
Quality Marks and Accreditations
Thirteen does not have quality marks or accreditations as it is a new organisation – quality marks and accreditations have been achieved under former Vela and Fabrick which amalgamated to form Thirteen.
Access To Interpreters
Access to interpreters can be arranged with Language Line. Thirteen also have access to British Sign Language interpreters.
Disabled Access
Thirteen’s offices do provide disabled access.
